ALTE LEIPZIGER — SAP FS-CD Life Implementation
In several projects, all BS2000 applications are to be replaced step by step. First, the legacy systems are replaced by customer-developed MVS applications. Following this, the introduction of SAP FS-CD is intended to create a central platform for representing all payment transaction processes. Within the project, the following goals are to be achieved: replacing the previous collections/disbursements system, representing the insurance-specific sub-ledger accounting, a near-standard SAP implementation of the payment processes, and creating a basis for leveraging synergies through the cross-company consolidation of collections/disbursements functionality.

Spectrum Consulting AG took on the following tasks: • Project management for implementing process improvements in the finance area • Design and implementation of SAP FS-CD (collections/disbursements) and SAP FI-SL (sub-ledger) • Design of interfaces to the core insurance applications and downstream systems • Building interfaces to supply information to inquiry systems and policy administration applications • Risk management and test management In April 2007, the new SAP FS-CD solution was successfully implemented. Since then, only a few minor adjustments and one release change have been necessary, also accompanied by Spectrum Consulting. The client has since managed the system independently and is very satisfied with the solution.
SEPA Insurance Project+
ALTE LEIPZIGER — SEPA Insurance Project
SEPA (Single Euro Payments Area) creates a unified euro payments area in which cross-border cashless payments can be processed simply, quickly, and cost-effectively. The project's goal is to integrate SEPA company-wide at ALTE LEIPZIGER, in compliance with legal requirements. This particularly affects payment transaction processes (credit transfer and direct debit), but also areas such as the switch to IBAN/BIC, mandate management, and mandate migration. It also involves redesigning the main insurance-technical processes and defining and implementing the future application and integration architecture as well as the affected systems and forms.
Solution
Spectrum Consulting AG ensures the following tasks during the project: • Project management for developing a preliminary study (outline concept) for planning and initiating the implementation project • Developing and defining cross-cutting topics such as format strategy, pre-notification, mandate management, etc. • Design of the affected payment processes as well as main insurance-technical processes (particularly mandate processes), architecture and integration of the affected systems • Design of the interfaces of the core insurance applications and downstream systems • Design and implementation of the SEPA requirements in the SAP area (SAP FI, SAP FS-CD), introduction strategy and management, test management After completing the preliminary study in February 2012, the implementation project was set up. Current planning assumes that ALTE LEIPZIGER will have switched to SEPA procedures by autumn 2013.

ALTE LEIPZIGER — Optimizations in SAP FS-CD
The project's goal is to replace the separate pre-processing systems for individual and group contracts in the occupational pension provision business. This is achieved by realizing a unified processing platform. In addition, the company aims for uniform print output creation for both business areas.
Solution
Spectrum Consulting AG took on the following tasks throughout the project: • Functional responsibility for the adjustments in SAP FS-CD • Coordination of developments together with ALTE LEIPZIGER's technical leads To achieve the goal of a unified platform for the pre-processing systems, Spectrum Consulting AG analyzed the existing SAP FS-CD system for necessary adjustments and developments. Uniform identifiers were then defined for the various contract types, all programs requiring adjustment were identified, the adjustments were designed and documented, and finally adapted and tested accordingly. The adjustments went live on schedule and without notable errors in September 2011.

AXA WINTERTHUR — SAP FS-CD Implementation Concept
The insurance company wants to develop a concept for implementing the standard software SAP FS-CD — already in use in the P&C division — for collections and disbursements in private pension provision. The existing billing system is to be replaced, with some calculation tasks partially integrated into the upstream policy administration system, the calculation system, or the benefits system. In particular, the adjustment needs of the existing systems are to be examined. The expected result is a detailed effort estimate as well as a possible implementation plan.
Solution
Spectrum Consulting AG staff take on the following tasks during the project: • Responsibility for redesigning the collections/disbursements processes for payments, dunning, interest, and correspondence, and for the connection to financial accounting and controlling • Analysis of business transactions affecting the billing system and design of a possible representation with SAP FS-CD, design of the connection to the benefits system • Developing a plan and effort estimate for realization, testing, and go-live The concept was completed by the end of October 2012. Realization was provisionally postponed due to the current project portfolio.
Integration of the ProFahr Application into SAP FI-CO+
BERNMOBIL — Integration of the ProFahr Application into SAP FI-CO
The project's goal is to integrate the ProFahr application (a non-SAP system) into the SAP FI-CO landscape. The project team's task is to develop customer-specific SAP applications to enable the transfer of SAP FI-CO-relevant data from the upstream ProFahr system and post it into SAP FI-CO. After gathering the customer's requirements, the applications are developed, tested, and made available in a user-friendly way according to those requirements. By implementing this project, BERNMOBIL succeeds in optimizing its accounting and controlling processes while also improving quality assurance for accounting data. This in turn leads to a reduced error rate and thus fewer corrective measures.
Solution
Spectrum Consulting AG took on the following tasks throughout the project: • Analysis of the processes and creation of the corresponding interface • Realization and testing of the new interface • Realization and testing of the new SAP applications, including SAP FI-CO postings The project was successfully completed in 2009. The applications remain in use at BERNMOBIL to this day, to the customer's complete satisfaction.

HALLESCHE — SAP FS-CD Implementation for Health Insurance
The project's goal is to integrate the collections processes from the health, benefits, travel, group, and sales areas — closely following the standard yet remaining flexible — into the SAP FS-CD solution already in place within the ALTE LEIPZIGER – HALLESCHE group. The project also pursues implementation of the German Citizens' Relief Act (BEG). Within the project, the goals are: replacing the previous collections/disbursements system, representing the insurance-specific sub-ledger accounting, a near-standard SAP implementation of the payment processes, and creating a basis for leveraging synergies through the cross-company consolidation of collections/disbursements functionality.

Spectrum Consulting AG took on the following tasks: • Sub-project and team leadership • Implementing process improvements in the finance area • Design and implementation of SAP FS-CD (collections/disbursements) based on the existing SAP FS-CD infrastructure within the ALTE LEIPZIGER – HALLESCHE group • Design and implementation of the Citizens' Relief Act requirements • Design of interfaces to the core insurance applications and downstream systems • Building interfaces to supply information to inquiry systems and policy administration applications • Knowledge transfer to customer staff, risk management, test management Over the course of the project to date, our staff have been able to design the payment-transaction-relevant processes of HALLESCHE health insurance mutual and largely already implement them in SAP FS-CD. The designed solution is thereby closely embedded into the existing implementation. Through close collaboration with the customer's core SAP team, know-how is continuously built up, so that the implemented solution can be independently maintained by the customer after the project ends.

DIE MOBILIAR — SAP FS-CD Implementation
The project's goal is to replace the legacy systems and the collections/disbursements system in the occupational pension provision business by realizing a unified processing platform anchored in Mobiliar's application landscape, so that these can be handled with IT support and without media breaks. Alongside a new policy and calculation system, SAP FS-CD will replace the existing system as the collections/disbursements system.

Spectrum Consulting AG has so far taken on the following tasks: • Leading the FS-CD introduction project stream • Design of the master data concept • Design of the transaction data concept • Design of the interfaces to the upstream systems • Design of the collections processes, development of the interest calculation solution • Development of the dunning solution • Building an FS-CD pilot system including interfaces to the partner, product, and benefits systems • Risk management After implementing a prototype, the project is now in the detailed specification phase. The SAP FS-CD prototype was built by Spectrum Consulting within a few months. All must-have requirements are implemented in the prototype. The project is being implemented using the SCRUM method and has so far been on schedule and on budget.

The project's goal is to optimize the processes in the collections/disbursements area in order to halve the throughput time of batch processes. In addition, customer documents are to be made more user-friendly and modern.
Solution
Spectrum Consulting AG takes on the following tasks throughout the project: • Supporting project management • Action-area analysis • Analysis and implementation of optimizations in the correspondence area • Design and implementation of technical optimizations to reduce runtimes • Design of the new interfaces to the printing systems • Risk management • Test management The result of a comprehensive needs analysis showed, on the technical side, the need to convert the batch processes as well as optimize mass jobs in SAP. On the business side, customer documents needed to be reworked taking into account the requirements of the general agencies. The project could be introduced without transition difficulties at the planned time in June 2011. Customer feedback has been extremely positive.
SAP FS-CD Implementation+
PAX — SAP FS-CD Implementation
PAX already uses SAP FS-CD in the group life insurance division and wants to implement this system for collections and disbursements in individual life insurance as well. The existing billing system is to be replaced, with additional functionality such as dunning or interest calculation also to be integrated into the billing system. At the same time, the policy administration system is also being redeveloped and connected to FS-CD. In a first phase, a preliminary study is developed to form the basis for a sound effort estimate. In the second phase, a detailed concept is created, followed by implementation and integration testing.

R+V ALLGEMEINE — SAP FS-CD Implementation
Through the phased introduction of SAP FS-CD and its collections processes for the credit / composite / life portfolios, the insurance company is enabled to fully automate standard business, provide collections functions for multiple companies (multi-client capability), and handle complex contract and customer functions economically. With the introduction of SAP FS-CD, R+V aims to carry out receivables management efficiently and in a way that is "state of the art" compared to its main competitors, so as to be able to respond quickly to new market developments, legal requirements, and organizational changes. Particular attention is paid during implementation to adopting the standard SAP FS-CD processes, in order to cut as many "old habits" as possible. The processes are developed as prototypes in SAP FS-CD, with target concepts approved early on by the business departments.

WINTERTHUR — SAP FS-CD Implementation
The insurance company wants to modernize its application landscape in order to be prepared for market changes and to be able to react quickly to new regulatory or legal requirements. Customers are to be given the ability to track their contracts and transactions online. A further requirement is to reduce the costs of maintaining the applications. It was therefore decided to introduce the standard software SAP FS-CD for collections and disbursements, along with the related processes and correspondence creation.
